Douplik directs experimental and clinical development in the field of biomedical photonics, as follows: surface-enhanced and near-field optical diagnosis and therapy, fluorescence and hyperspectral imaging, photodynamic therapy, laser surgery, optic detection of cancer stem cells, use of Plasmon nanostructures in diagnosis and therapy. He conducts the investigations for optical characteristics of blood and its components.
